Uttari Betta and Mandaragiri Day Trek Overview

Description:
The Uttari Betta and Mandaragiri Day Trek is a scenic and adventurous trek that takes you to two stunning locations, offering both historical significance and natural beauty.

• Uttari Betta: A serene hill located near Tumkur, known for its peaceful surroundings and breathtaking views. The trek to Uttari Betta is a moderately steep climb that rewards trekkers with panoramic views of the region.
  Elevation: 3,300 feet above sea level.
• Mandaragiri Hill (Basadi Betta): Situated near Uttari Betta, Mandaragiri Hill is famous for its Jain temples and is considered a pilgrimage site. The ascent involves 500 steps, which are well-maintained and offer an easier climb.
  Elevation: 3,213 feet above sea level.
  

Trip Details

Starting Point:

• Time: 4:00 AM (Saturday or Sunday, depending on the trip)
• Pick-up Points:
  • Marathahalli: In front of Kalamandir (4:00 AM)
  • Silk Board: Opposite Pizza Hut (4:20 AM)
  • BTM Layout: Udupi Garden Bus Stop, Opposite A2B (4:40 AM)
  • Banashankari: Bus Stop (5:00 AM)
  • Nayandahalli: Near Flyover (5:15 AM)
  • Gopalan Arcade Mall: Rajarajeshwari Nagar Arch (5:30 AM)

Return Time:

• Arrival in Bangalore: Around 6:30 PM on the same day

Trek Schedule

• 4:00 AM: Departure from Bangalore, starting from the designated pick-up points.
• 6:00 AM: Arrive at the base of Uttari Betta, relax and prepare for the trek.
• 6:30 AM: Begin the hike to the peak of Uttari Betta, enjoying the scenic views along the way.
• 8:30 AM: Reach the top of Uttari Betta, relax, and enjoy the panoramic scenery.
• 9:30 AM: Descend towards the base of Uttari Betta. You can carry a packed breakfast and enjoy it at the peak.
• 11:30 AM: Begin the journey towards Mandaragiri Hill.
• 12:30 PM: Stop at a nearby restaurant for lunch (self-sponsored).
• 2:00 PM: Reach the base of Mandaragiri.
• 3:00 PM: Reach the top of Mandaragiri, enjoy the stunning architecture of the Peacock and the surrounding scenic views.
• 4:30 PM: Begin descending back to the base.
• 6:30 PM: Return to Bangalore and reflect on the memorable experiences of the day.

Important Reminders:

• Note: We’ll create a WhatsApp group on the departure day for trip updates. Please add your WhatsApp number in the “Additional Information” section at checkout.
• Drop points are the same as the pickup points.
• The pick-up points remain the same, but the timings are tentative.
• Cleanliness is our priority. Don’t be that person who throws trash around.
• This isn’t a luxury trip — you’re exploring nature, so expect some basic amenities. Washrooms are only available at the hotel, campsite, Tent Stay (you reach the hotel/campsite/Tent stay).
• You’ll be carrying your own equipment like bags, sticks, etc.
• Alcohol consumption and smoking are strictly prohibited during the trek.
• Wearing trekking shoes is highly recommended for the best experience.
• Any personal expenses like extra meals, drinks, or snacks aren’t included.
• Littering is a no-no! If you’re caught, you could be fined.

Cancellation Policy:

• If you cancel 0-15 days before the trek, no refund will be given. The total cost is charged as a cancellation fee.
• If you cancel 15-30 days before the trek, 50% of the total cost will be deducted.
• In case of weather conditions or government restrictions, trips may be canceled, and no refund will be applicable.
• Once the permits are booked under your name, they cannot be refunded. If you postpone, the permit fee for the new date will have to be paid again.

Terms & Conditions:

• A minimum of 10 to 12 participants is required to organize a trip
• If the minimum number of bookings is not reached, we will provide an alternative trip or a refund.
• Age limit: 10+
• We expect a basic level of fitness — this trek’s a moderate challenge.
• We aren’t responsible for any lost or stolen items — keep your valuables safe!
• We might update our terms from time to time, so keep an eye out for any changes.
• If you drink, misbehave, or cause delays during the trek, we’ll terminate your participation with no refund. You’ll need to sort your own way back home.
• For any unforeseen conditions or restrictions (like weather or government rules), we’ll try our best to make alternative arrangements, but no refunds will be provided.
