If you’re planning to go on the Bandaje Falls Trek, which includes the Ballalarayana Durga Fort, make sure to complete your Ballalarayana Trek booking well in advance to secure your spot. Forts always have a certain charm, and when they are located on high peaks, hidden from plain sight amidst fog, clouds, and mist, the charm doubles. One such amazing fort in the Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka is the Ballalarayana Durga Fort. This fort lies on the top of a hill and can only be reached by trekking through dense vegetation that grows on the slopes.

This trek and camping experience in the Western Ghats is designed to take you to a beautiful fort, high up in the hills, shrouded by thick clouds. The best part of this trek is that there is no network connectivity, offering you a true offbeat experience of camping, trekking, and being completely unplugged from the digital world.

You will begin your trek to the top at around 9 AM, reaching. Spend some time at the summit, take in stunning views of the Charmadi Ghat Hill and South Kendra, click the perfect pictures, and return to the base camp. To keep your energy levels high throughout the trek, you’ll be enjoying delicious, locally cooked meals. Make sure to book your Bandaje Trek package online, especially during peak seasons, to avoid disappointment and secure the necessary permits for the trek.

 Trek Quick Info You Should Know

• A minimum of 10 to 12 participants is required to organize a trip
• Starting time: Friday night at 9:00 PM approx.
• Ending time: Sunday late night around 11:00 PM to 12: AM approx.
• Stay: At our Homestay or Tents
• Food: 2 Breakfasts, 1 Packed Lunch, 1 Dinner (All Veg included)
• Trek difficulty: Moderate-Challenging
• Duration of the Trip: 2 Days/1 Night
• Trek Distance: Approx. 16-20 km
• Trail Type: Dense tropical forests, rocky terrain, and water-flowing streams

Pick-up Points:

• Karachi Bakery – Indiranagar: 9:00 PM
• Domlur – New Shanti Sagar Hotel: 9:20 PM
• Yeshwanthpur Konkan Express Hotel: 10:15 PM
• Gorguntepalya – People Tree Hospital: 10:30 PM

• Drop Points are the same as the pick-up points. Once you’ve booked your tickets, we will reach out to you with more information like exact pick-up times, location, and coach details via WhatsApp.

What to Bring:

• Water bottles (stay hydrated!)
• Energy bars (keep the energy up)
• Should be Carry Empty box.
• Personal medication or a basic first aid kit
• Sweater/jacket (it’s chilly at night)
• Raincoat/Poncho (just in case the weather’s not in our favor)
• Good sports shoes or trekking shoes (no flip-flops, please!)
• Flashlight/Torch with extra batteries
• Camera (if you want to capture the sunrise)
• Small Backpack to carry your essentials

Important Reminders:

• Note: We’ll create a WhatsApp group on the departure day for trip updates. Please add your WhatsApp number in the “Additional Information” section at checkout.
• Drop points are the same as the pickup points.
• The pick-up points remain the same, but the timings are tentative.
• Cleanliness is our priority. Don’t be that person who throws trash around.
• This isn’t a luxury trip — you’re exploring nature, so expect some basic amenities. Washrooms are only available at the hotel campsite (you reach the hotel/campsite for breakfast).
• You’ll be carrying your own equipment like bags, sticks, etc.
• Alcohol consumption and smoking are strictly prohibited during the trek.
• Wearing trekking shoes is highly recommended for the best experience.
• Any personal expenses like extra meals, drinks, or snacks aren’t included.
• Littering is a no-no! If you’re caught, you could be fined.

Terms & Conditions:

• Age limit: 10+ 
• We expect a basic level of fitness — this trek’s a moderate challenge. If you can’t handle it, that’s not on us.
• We aren’t responsible for any lost or stolen items — keep your valuables safe!
• We might update our terms from time to time, so keep an eye out for any changes.
• If you drink, misbehave, or cause delays during the trek, we’ll terminate your participation with no refund. You’ll need to sort your own way back home.
• For any unforeseen conditions or restrictions (like weather or government rules), we’ll try our best to make alternative arrangements, but no refunds will be provided.

Cancellation Policy:

• If you cancel 0-7 days before the trek, no refund will be given. The total cost is charged as a cancellation fee.
• If you cancel 7-15 days before the trek, 50% of the total cost will be deducted.
• Once the permits are booked under your name, they cannot be refunded. If you postpone, the permit fee for the new date will have to be paid again.
